- An AHS unit is a complete system comprising a ceramic infra-red heating element, a polished reflector and a pulse proportional thermostat housed in an easy to fit metal enclosure.
- It features an independent cut-out for controlled initial warm-up and is believed to be the safest heater on the market as the heat is cut off if the temperature of the case exceeds 70 deg.C.
- This means that an animal should not burn itself if it touches the case and makes it particularly suitable for snakes, negating the need for a heat guard.
- The AHS unit should be fitted to the side or back of your vivarium or breeding enclosure.
- It can be used for reptiles, birds and other animals such as kittens or puppies and is suitable for a vivarium or enclosure up to 72” x 24” x 24”.
- Size 330 x 123 x 64mm with 1.5m cables for fitted plug and sensor.
- Even though it is a 500w unit, due to the pulse proportionate thermostatic control it costs very little to run.
